media's effect over youth
In many countries, media always exaggerates the negative sides of the youth. This has a very big impact on youth because it can affect them both negatively and positively. For example, I think that when media shows youth negative sides all the time, then almost each youth wants to imitate these negative sides so they could not improve their bad habit or weaknesses. On the other hand, apart from that kind of youth, some youth also can take advantage from these negative sides by trying to get rid of bad habits that they see in media. For this reason, media should find a balance about the youth's both negative and positive sides that they broadcast so as to prevent some youth's bad habits and to help them to find a correct way in the life by showing their weaknesses.

Cisneros & Barbie-Q
In the story of Barbie-q, the writer indicates the example of 2 young girls-approximately 6-8 years old-who like to play with barbie dolls. Because they play with them a lot, they are able to know a number of words about barbie and clothing that most of adults and womens ever do not hear these words in their life. It is completely because of playing with barbie dolls too much so they are obsessed with them. At the same time, they are always desire to get new barbie dolls because they are not satisfied with few barbie dolls. Thus, The outcome of playing and thinking barbie dolls too much induce them to be a passive in the society. Therefore, as far as ı know in the story, Cisneros use the theme of women in the perpetuation of their own oppression because young girls in the story bring themselves the edge of passivity by playing with barbie dolls too much and not thinking other things.

is the barbie a symbol of opression or liberation ?
the first thing that comes to my mind is that barbie is the symbol of the opression because if we consider our childhood, we can understand that when girls play with their barbie dolls, they create a limited imagination. Their social interaction does not easily developed because they play with them inside and they want to be a model like the barbie dolls because these dolls are perfection according to the young girl. Therefore, the unique thing which they want to be is to like a model so they disregard the other things like economic and politic conditions. If we look at boys case, we can compare the young girls and boys. Fist of all, compare to the girls, boys play with lego and action man which can help them to improve their capacity of brain and to develop their imagination. Also, as everyone knows that, boys does not always play inside, they often go outside with their groups. This contribute them to develop their social sides in the societies. Thus, boys are more dominant over girls in the communities.

killing us softly
the main argument in the film is the position of the women in the society and how producers make use of women in their advertisements which is completely based on the image of woman out of the reality. They benefit from woman sexuality to sell their products. This kind of exploitation is also validity because we can see some popular sexy women in Turkey in many advertisements which is not irrelevant to them. We can understand the exploitation of women as a sexual object in Turkey from these advertisements.
